Yoshiki Tagashira's 8th album. He has been walking in nature for many years and has made music saying, "I want to convey what I felt in nature through music.". The song changes shape and spreads to people's hearts like ripples. The unique gentle, sometimes painful and beautiful melody is not just healing music. Mainly piano solo, sometimes strings. The album also features a lot of improvisation.

Artist Profile

  • Yoshiki Tagashira

Yoshiki Tagashira is a Japanese neo-classical composer from Onomichi, a coastal town facing Seto Inland Sea in Hiroshima Prefecture, and currently resides in Ichihara, Chiba Prefecture. While cultivating rice in the countryside, he spends much of his time surrounded by nature and listening to its sounds. His works are simple yet evoke the shifting light of nature over time, like a song of life resonating from the depths of nature, carved over the ages. He has walked the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Route countless times, capturing the nature and people's prayers that have shaped it over the ages and compiling them into numerous works. One such example is the album "Trail," released in 2020. Since then, he has released numerous works themed around the Kumano Kodo Pilgrimage Route. In addition to his solo work, he has also provided music for video works, including the music for several animated picture books and the music for the introductory animation for the biosphere exhibits at the GEO NOUS Museum on Izu Oshima. Through his experiences of rice farming, daily life, and a life deeply attuned to the sounds of nature, his music quietly reflects the silence that gently envelops time and life in nature, as well as the prayers of people.
