The album title Munity stems from the word community,ntentionally stripped of a part of itself to symbolize disconnection from unity and belonging. It represents an existence isolated from collective ties, a voice echoing from the edges of togetherness.

Its deliberately imperfect soundscape captures this sense of absence resonating with the emotional void within each listener.

Through Munity, Mephisto portrays the act of reaching for rebirth while carrying pain.
The sound itself becomes proof of life, reverberating between silence and destruction, despair and hope.

    Born in 2002 and based in Aichi, Japan, Mephisto is a rapper and event organizer whose music blends Alternative Hip-Hop with elements of ambient, experimental, and R&B. Through introspective lyricism, he explores themes of loneliness, inner conflict, and memory. Alongside his music, he curates the independent event series "MATRIX," contributing to the growth of an emerging underground scene outside Japan's major metropolitan centers. Following the release of his debut album Chaos in 2025, Mephisto released his EP RESIDUE in 2026.
