Junko Takamisawa's third piano solo album.
Piano pieces for "Nijimi" - watercolor bleeds
The music gracefully depicts the way watercolor paints slowly spread and softly overlap.
This collection of piano pieces was developed from eight piano phrases used in the artwork *Footprints of Paint* (*) - an installation at the Chihiro Art Museum (featuring the work of painter and picture book artist Chihiro Iwasaki), a project in which Takamisawa herself was involved in the production.
The "Nijimi" (bleeding) watercolor technique is synonymous with Chihiro Iwasaki's style.
These eight improvisational piano pieces capture the essence of that "bleeding" effect - evoking the expansion of a scene, the passage of time, and the shifting of emotions.

In this interactive artwork, visitors can enjoy creating digital watercolor "bleeds" on a canvas while playing the piano through their own movements as they walk.
