mokz is a singer and trackmaker based in virtual spaces, active primarily on YouTube and VRChat. The track was first released as a download card on May 23, 2026, with its live debut in VRChat, where the audience joined in chanting "fill it up," the song's central motif, bringing its theme to life in real time.

"Anamnesis" is a fully self-produced work, with mokz handling all songwriting, composition, arrangement, and vocals. The jacket visual was commissioned externally. A song born from the feeling that something the real world could not fill was waiting in virtual space. mokz maps that experience onto Plato's concept of anamnesis: the soul once knew a world of pure truth, and gradually remembers it through lived experience.
