Breathtakingly beautiful work by the fusion of musicians from France and The Czech Republic.

This is the third album from Akamatsu, a music project by Rémi Quéron, a French music composer and multi-instrumentalist who plays a piano, synthesizer, harmonium, and xylophone.

Akamatsu debuted as one of participants of a compilation album 'Erik Satie et les Nouveaux Jeunes' together with internationally renowned neoclassical artists Nils Frahm, Rachel Grimes, Julia Kent, and Sylvain Chauveau. After releasing two electronica albums featuring finely calculated fantastic sounds, Quéron created this album 'Seminky', which means 'seed' in the Czech language, on the base of the acoustic instruments together with some instrument players from France and The Czech Republic such as Suzanne Fischer on cello, Fabrice Bony on drums, Petr Tichý on bass, and Jono Heyes on guitar.

The album consists of some experimentally but catchy masterpieces featuring his borderless musicality such as 'Saint Loup', a human powered electronica song featuring little retro sounds taken the lead by speedy drums which is also the lead single from the album, 'Cuisine-Chimie', a post-rock song featuring a tight and jazzy rhythm section and a symphonic synthesizer and horn section which is reminiscent of Tortoise and Jaga Jazzist, beautiful neo-classical songs such as 'Novembre' played by a piano and guitar and 'Volyně' played as a band with string instruments, and 'Schneider Swing' which has an atmosphere that makes you feel the early days of techno music's groove such as Underworld and Orbital.

Also, three of the album songs, 'Nantes', 'Longeville, and 'Là' feature lovely poems written by Annaïck Domergue, and you can listen to the album as you would read a story thanks to them.

This is a masterpiece of electronica, neo-classical, and psychedelic pops which we recommend with confidence to all fans of Human Pyramids and Haiku Salut who have released their works on our Ricco Label.
