    aTak is a 15-piece big band formed in Tokyo in 2018. The line-up consists of 5 horns, 2 guitars, 2 percussionists, 2 vocalists, bass, drums, and keys. Led Takuya Kuroda and his music friends in Japan, the group takes inspiration from Takuya's long-term membership in the Brooklyn-based Akoya Afrobeat Ensemble and performs original music that crosses genre, blending afrobeat, funk, and jazz. Their first single "ZASU" was released on July 22nd of this year.
