"Kaikō" is a song written and composed by Hikari-Yo in 2024.
It reflects on "you," an adult who once cherished "me" when she was a young girl, and who has already passed away. As the grown-up "me" finally comes to understand his heart and his feelings, it becomes possible-at last-to truly meet the real "you." That is why the song is titled "Kaikō," meaning "a fateful encounter."

I handle every aspect of the process myself, from lyric writing, composition, arrangement, performance, programming, to mastering. My musical style spans a wide range, from upbeat pop tunes to melancholic ballads. The lyrics resemble short stories, with each song weaving its own unique narrative. What defines my work is the ability to express distinct worlds and emotional landscapes for each piece through memorable melodies and soundscapes centered around piano and synthesizers.
