Greeting

In our daily lives, our ulterior motives show through and we end up saying things in a roundabout way, like, ``I want to get along with that person,'' or ``If I get to know this person, things will go well.'' But it's only when you realize that becoming friends and things going well that they happen naturally. Age, experience, knowledge, wealth, position, connections, and authority can cloud people's eyes. I believe that greetings and gratitude that value the "now" have more power than any other words. I believe that the accumulation of the present creates the past and the future, and the present material that is accumulated is ``having a heart''. I also believe that the past and future will change depending on how we hold our hearts. I want to live my life by honestly and carefully accumulating each ``now'' one by one using ``magic words'' even as I face my ulterior motives that are always peeking out.
