project AMBIVALENCE / $.odÅ produced 4th single "Toxic Love Monopoly (feat. Rikka)"

This work, released just 4 months after the previous work "HEAVEN (feat. Rikka)", is a cover of the song "Toxic Love Monopoly" written as an entry song for "VocaDuo2025" held in the summer. Based on the VocaDuo team theme commonly known as "yandere", this work depicts the maiden's heart wavering between pure love and crazy love. It is a work that brushes up the music produced for the event, and the band arrangement with a Japanese atmosphere that matches the lyrics is attractive. It is in a different genre from "Refrain", "Mermaid Princess" and "HEAVEN", which were fully produced by Rikka, and is positioned as a spin-off work.

"VocaDuo2025" is an event where singers, Vocaloid producers, mixers, illustrators, videographers, etc. team up to complete and submit works, but this work "Toxic Love Monopoly (feat. Rikka)" is an original version supervised by $.odÅ. You can enjoy it as a completely different work compared to the "VocaDuo2025" entry version.

The distorted guitar tones played by $.odÅ himself, the dynamic ensemble of bass and Japanese instruments, and Rikka's vocals that lightly sing from the ultra-high range to the rap part are overwhelming.

The shooting and editing of the jacket and teaser were directed by $.odÅ himself, and the final adjustments were made by Rikka.

While focusing on his activities as a Vocaloid producer, $.odÅ has also started working as a lyricist, composer, and arranger. Rikka is also releasing new songs one after another as a three-member female entertainment vocal unit "RiRiUM" from the project AMBIVALENCE. Keep an eye on their future activities.
