Pine hills afterdark

This is the first collaborative album by veteran Kansai guitarist Yoshiharu Mihara and bassist Norihide Nakajima. The album title, "Pine Hills Connection," comes from the fact that Nakajima and recording and art director Osamu Sasaki live close to Mihara's private studio in Matsugaoka, Hyogo Prefecture. The gut guitar and double bass duo is a rare combination in jazz, but it creates a unique and beautiful world.

Mihara possesses a diverse musical talent that transcends genres, including jazz and rock. He has extensive experience in producing in the entertainment industry, having founded a music school to nurture the next generation of musicians, opened a live music venue, and organized and appeared on music television programs. In addition to his own performances, he has also produced numerous artists through the label OGD Records.

Norihide Nakajima Profile
He began performing while in college, later moving to Tokyo and joining the Sera Yuzuru Trio. He performed with Hidehiko Matsumoto, Eiji Kitamura, and others before moving to New York. He returned to Osaka in 1987 and currently works with his own band, as well as producing CDs for numerous musicians and singers. He has also released many albums as a leader.
