The title "MiC" means "microphone", and it is also the acronym for "Music in Cube". "Cube" means their PC, and also their houses.
This is work created by musicians who are locked in their house and create music in front of their microphones and in their PC.
The members of O'Jizo did recording remotely by exchanging data and overdubbing at home, because it is only thing they could do in the situation that many musicians had to refrain from gigs due to the Covid 19. It was made with a call-and-response of overdubbing among three members. So their new album has made a sharp contrast to the previous album "Cranking Out", where everything was created at once in person.
All six tracks, except the second half of the second track, Plecky the Turtle, were composed specially for this album. More than half of the tunes were composed in the Covid 19 disaster, and they were influenced by the situation. It made not only restrictions but also struggling to resolve problems, learning new skills and a lot of inspirations because of the limits. This is a new album O'Jizo can only make now, consisted of several variations of their instruments, positive overdubbing and their first computer music.
