Back in 1991, a middle school kid was completely captivated by the golden era of hip-hop. Fast forward to 2026, he grabs the mic once again to reignite the fuse of his long-dormant dream.
Born in '78, a member of the "Lost Generation," and now in his late 40s. Having survived turbulent times, he now carries the weight of his local community on his shoulders with the uniquely authentic title of "Disaster Prevention Department Head" in Nakahara, Kawasaki. This is the long-awaited new single, "SLOW FLOW / Shinshow (New Chapter)," dropped by the rapper SLOW FLOW.
Following his debut single "Typhoon No. 19 Part 1," released on May 30, 2026, this new track is a further evolution based on the raw material he created for his audition entry into "RAPSTAR 2026," Japan's premier hip-hop tournament. Refusing to stand still at his age, he steps into the arena as an active contender. This single captures the incredibly tough, raw reality of SLOW FLOW - a man walking the walk, executing his vision, and relentlessly chasing his dreams into uncharted territory.
Riding over a soulful, funky boom-bap beat that pays homage to the 90s golden era, the track explodes with a low-toned, heavy vocal flow and tightly woven, razor-sharp rhymes.
"Are you really gonna let it end without trying? Don't play yourself."
"Sparks flying into the dream sleeping deep beneath the underground."
From his perspective watching his own son, who has now reached the exact same age he was when he first dreamed of being a creator, to representing the hard truth and the current state of his local neighborhood-this is true-to-life hip-hop. Dedicated to everyone who refuses to make excuses based on age or environment, who stays a challenger, and who continues to push forward into their next chapter.
Witness the birth of this gritty, passionate "New Chapter" rising straight out of the streets of Nakahara. Listen close to the return of SLOW FLOW.
