Stop the War

KAZMARIBUKURO

The day I heard the news

A war had started in some distant land

I thought it had nothing to do with me

But every day the headlines grew darker

“Our country will now join the war”

And all I could whisper was

“Why the hell…?”

Enemies and allies

Killing one another

And the hatred born from it

Keeps bleeding into the next generation

Stop the war

I whisper quietly

To a sky that’ll never hear me

Stop the war

Still, I have to say it

Every life

Has the same value

War is wrong

You already know that

We don’t need

Your twisted justice anymore

The kindness they taught us in school

The tears beyond the screen

Here, they all seem meaningless

Crushed out so easily

Without even knowing that child’s name

They pull the trigger

And call it “protection”

But what does it mean to protect?

And who are we protecting?

I keep asking myself

If I say I’m scared

Does that make me a coward?

If I don’t shoot

Will I disappear instead?

What does “right” even mean anymore?

I… don’t know

Stop the war

This time a little louder

Even if my voice shakes

I don’t want it to disappear

Stop the war

Every time I repeat it

A part of me breaks away

War is wrong

That should be obvious

At least that truth

I don’t want to lose

    Stop the War

    KAZMARIBUKURO

What once felt like a distant war in a faraway country suddenly begins to creep into everyday life.

The sound of explosions on the news.
Hatred repeated in the name of "justice."
People forced to live by pulling a trigger-or facing one.

"Stop the War!!!" is an anti-war song told from the perspective of an ordinary person, not a politician, not an expert.

"War is wrong."

A simple truth that should never have to be repeated, yet somehow still needs to be said.

Maybe there are no easy answers.
Maybe a single voice cannot change the world.

But even so, this song holds onto one belief:

Every human life has the same value.

Filled with anger, sorrow, and a hope that refuses to disappear, this is a song that continues to ask a simple question:

Why must we keep repeating the same tragedy?
