Haruka Kumoji Song Description
My beloved dog, who I had when I was writing the lyrics for this song.
Nadeshiko
The first dog I had as an adult was a long-haired chihuahua named Nadeshiko.
She was a quiet and reserved dog, which made her irresistibly cute and adorable.
Whenever I was feeling down, she would always stick close to me.
It was as if she was saying, "It's okay, don't worry."
She was always my emotional support, and my biggest understanding friend.
Haruka Kumoji's lyrics speak for what Nadeshiko must be thinking.
The last English line literally translates to "Every cloud has a silver lining," but it can also be interpreted as "There is meaning in every bad thing, you can find light in it." And it ends with, "Even if I go to heaven, I want to be with you again forever."
I deliberately chose "make a fresh" instead of "reborn."
Looking back at the lyrics again after more than 10 years, I realized that these were also how I felt about Nadeshiko.
Nadeshiko are now in Kumochi Haruka, but I live each day looking forward to seeing them again.
