Payday was formed in 2017, and after several member changes, the band currently consists of Gang Gang (vocals, beat making),Ponz (guitar), Fumi (guitar, beat making), and Justa (DJ, beat making). The band's unique style of music is based on emo and hardcore, but with a bold introduction of trap elements, similar to emo rap.
The album they are releasing this time was made before they joined Jsta. The album was produced before Jsta joined the band, and is full of energy, with a hip-hop style and the dynamism of live music. The lyrics reflect the anger and sadness Gang Gang experienced, and you can hear his rap approach not only in the sound but also in his vocals. The album's title, "Dying Nowhere," comes from Gang Gang's feeling that "I have nowhere to die.
The album was produced almost entirely by the members of Payday, but on the track "Backstreet," hee, a vocalist from Fukuoka hardcore band theHEADZ, makes a guest appearance. The songs "Dying to kill time" and "Overdriving" were mixed by Seitaro Inui (246). The artwork was done by PLAY MANIA.
