Beyond the Hometown

When I heard that the town where I was born and raised, that it's hometown, would lose its name due to a merger, I felt a sense of loneliness, like there was a hole somewhere in my heart.
The lush, unchanging scenery, the people, the memories, hopes and anxieties before leaving the town, the feelings of wanting to stay here forever and the conflict of having to leave, your support gave me the push I needed - gratitude for having a place to return to,
I put these feelings into the song.
