DOUBLIVING, a group based in Sapporo, Hokkaido, Japan, has released its fifth digital single, "Holiday"

This is their first new single in about six months, and is a song about a day spent idly even though it is a day off.
The song was produced with the intention of being a song that stands by all those who are busy with their daily lives, without denying or affirming them.

The song features a lo-fi eight-beat beat, a languid cutting guitar and whistling, and a groove-filled bass line that moves the listener's hips. The unsteady swaying of the electric piano is strangely comforting, like the emotional swings of the song. The song was completed as an ED song for a day when nothing could be done.

The song is danceable and influenced by soul, funk, and R&B as in the previous work "Lovely", but the vocalization method of the vocalist is more delicate and introverted, and a completely different dark new side of DOUBLIVING/Yoshida Reo can be heard in this work.

The lyrics of this album have a bright, sad, and lived-in feel to them, which is impressive.
The lyrics are based on personal scenes from everyday life that everyone has experienced at least once in his or her life.
The song is a perfect balance of humor and seriousness, which is Yoshida's forte.

I always wish that the music of DOUBLIVING could be a part of each of our lives.
It would be even better if a mirror ball came down in an empty, sleepy room and turned it into a dance hall.
