Stormymonday was formed in 2014 in Sendai, Miyagi Prefecture, Japan. The band has been unwaveringly paving the way with its one-of-a-kind sound that includes both static and dynamic elements that make rock music lovers roar. The band's sound, which combines 90's US/UK alternative grunge music and modern blues influences such as John Mayer and Eric Clapton with a unique sensibility, has been steadily reaching people. In December 2014, they released their first EP "ige." and the following year, in December 2015, they released their first full album "To Whom It May Concern". Not to stop their momentum, they released their 2nd EP "THE WEAVER E.P." at the final of their tour on June 4 of the same year. In March 2016, they made their first appearance at "MASTER PEACE," a 7-venue circuit event in Sendai, and in October of the same year, they appeared at "MEGA ROCKS," one of the largest circuit events in Tohoku, organized by Date FM. In June 2017, they released their 2nd full album "PLEDGE". In the same month, they performed at the Kobe circuit event "Neko Fes 2017" hosted by Alcala. In the tour final, they held their first solo live at Sendai MACANA. After disbanding in 2018, the band reunited in 2021 when Yus returned to Japan. In 2024, they released their third EP, "REPLAY".
