Tajimaya Kane Onawa no Banshu Kako Murotsu - Kyoshin Onatsu no Nanatsugakamawari

Inspired by Chikamatsu Monzaemon's "Kako Kyoshin Nanatsuga Kamawari" (1685)

This story, commonly known as "Onatsu Seijuro," is based on a true story. Its highlights include "Love Across Class," "False Accusations," "Escape," and, as the title suggests, "Madness and Reunion at a Graveyard at Night." It depicts a decadent yet beautiful madness that perfectly matches the aforementioned theme song (Dark Bouncy Flamenco / Horror).

The son of a sake brewer in Murotsu, Banshu, he works as a clerk (employee) at the rice wholesaler "Tajimaya" in Himeji due to circumstances. He is handsome and honest. He is the sister (or daughter) of Tajimaya's owner, Hisaemon. He is deeply in love with Seijuro.
Another clerk at Tajimaya. He is a villain who is jealous of Seijuro and targets Onatsu. Onatsu's brother (the master). He is planning to marry her off to another wealthy merchant.

2. Synopsis
At the wealthy Himeji merchant house Tajimaya, Seijuro, a clerk, and the master's sister, Onatsu, are secretly in love. However, love between people of different social classes is not tolerated, and Onatsu is being arranged for marriage to another family. One day, Seijuro is entrusted with a large sum of money (or a famous sword) from the store, but his colleague Iichi's cunning scheme results in the money being stolen (or Iichi stealing it and framing Seijuro). Accused of "infidelity" and "embezzlement," Seijuro flees the store without being able to offer an explanation and is pursued.
