Artist Profile

  • Vakeneco

The notable performances include appearances on numbers of FM stations and cable TV broadcasts around Shonan and Metropolitan Tokyo area where her one-of-a-kind musicality became a sensation across the area and beyond. On January 20th, 2011, an album called "Hen-gen Jizai" ("Protean") was released under her new alias Vakeneco ("Cat monster") as she was dubbed to attract numerous media features including Jazz Life magazine and Shonan Style magazine where her live performances have been closed up. Her performance is best characterized by masculine and powerful intonation, as well as the deep "black" groove deceiving her appearance of elegance, which allure the audience together with her truly unique compositions as if it was the welcoming shower of their dreams in the maze of "forbidden courtyard". Her protean performance of ambivalence world has been evoking echoes among enchanted audience wherever Vakeneco took her over, attracting ever-growing number of Yoshiko enthusiasts. 2nd album "Hyakka Ryoran" has been released in June 2016. 編集
