Artist Profile

• Manifune

Manifune is an improvised unite formed in 2022 by Ryuji Enokida (Vo, Gt/ leader) and Takuya Abe (Ds), and Yuichi Fukano (Per.). Enokida has practiced traditional Japanese physical operation method for a long time. Manifune uses the view of the method and act as such style to obey nothing but their own deep sensation. Self and other, active and passive, chance and necessity. Like a vessel, each player scoops up echoes appeared in between and releases them. This is also an expression of process to get closer to their roots of existence. In live performances, Manifune places the greatest value on those moments when sound emerges in response to the audience's breathing. Their work spans a wide range of fields - from collaborations with film, theater, dance, and contemporary art, to jazz and rock. Members : Ryuji Enokida (Gt., Voice) , Takuya Abe (Dr.) , Yuichi Fukano (Per.) web : https://manifune.com/
