Shoken, a member of the hip-hop group "Romancrew," has released his second EP, *Nihotetochi*. With his uniquely effortless flow and lyrics that blend aesthetics and humor, the album captures the shifting emotions of a journey from confusion and disorientation to self-acceptance. All tracks were produced by Cosaqu (Umeda Cypher).
Artist Profile
Shoken
Born in Gifu in 1979. As a member of Romancrew, he released the self produced EP mi familia in 2003. In 2004, he released the EP Fly High on P-VINE from 2007 to 2008, he released two albums on Aer-born, a label under Amuse and in 2011, he released an album on FILE RECORDS, while also handling numerous artwork projects, including album cover designs. He captivated audiences of all ages with his deep voice and unique style, but left Romancrew in 2012. After a period of trying various things releasing solo work and acting he became a stay-at-home dad. In 2024, he released the single COLLAGE with Romancrew. He had been living a quiet, peaceful life, but having found something he wanted to convey, he resumed his musical activities and released the solo EP Iroha, produced by MATSUMOTO HISATAAKAA, the owner of VINYL7 RECORDS. As smoothly as possible, as beautifully as possible.
