Piman

Ayaka Tachibana

yaka Tachibana New Album: Koku, Koukou-taru

Singer-songwriter Ayaka Tachibana releases her new full-length album, Koku, Koukou-taru.

Tracing her musical journey from her roots in her debut independent album 22 to the present, this special 13-track album compiles phantom songs that were once released on CD but have long been out of print, alongside fan-favorite tracks cherished in her live performances that had never been officially recorded until now.

[Background & Concept]
Ayaka Tachibana fought a long and difficult battle with a vocal disorder through 2025. Struggling with the act of singing and plagued by a lack of confidence in her past self, she previously made it a habit to discontinue her older releases every time a new work was introduced.

However, having overcome her vocal disorder after years of hardship, she arrived at a profound realization:
"It is precisely because my past self never stopped pursuing music and kept singing without giving up through the pain that I possess my free singing voice today."

Koku, Koukou-taru is born from her resolve to accept and cherish all her past shadows, struggles, and whole self.
The title conveys a deeply earnest and powerful message: "Even in a darkness as deep as black, one can still shine brilliantly and intensely."
