  • PLECTRUM

    PLECTRUM are a Japanese indie guitar pop band formed in the early '90s and named by Teenage Fanclub. Originally inspired by '90s UK guitar pop, shoegaze, and US indie pop, the band have continued to evolve by blending garage rock, psychedelia, and '70s power pop into their sound. After making their major-label debut in 1996, PLECTRUM moved into the independent scene in 1999 and have remained a cult presence in Japanese indie rock ever since. Thirty years on, the band continue to create timeless guitar pop that bridges classic indie sensibilities with a contemporary spirit.
