This CD picture book brings to life the world of Prokofiev's original work and music, "Peter and the Wolf," not with orchestral instruments, but with a performance using simple medieval and Renaissance instruments, unfolding a richly imaginative new interpretation of the story through illustrations and music.

In addition to the performance of the original work, it also includes the original song "The Wind Sings."

ロバの音楽座は、中世･ルネサンス時代の古楽器やオリジナル空想楽器により、子どもも大人も楽しめる、心温まる「音と遊びの世界」を創造しているグループ。 1973年中世・ルネサンス音楽を演奏する「カテリーナ古楽合奏団」結成。82年子どもたちに音楽の夢を運ぶべく「ロバの音楽座」結成。2004年よりNHK Eテレ「パンツぱんくろう」「からだであそぼ」「いないいないばぁっ」などの音楽を担当。 09年第3回キッズデザイン賞・創造教育デザイン部門において金賞〈経済産業大臣賞〉を受賞。11年「らくがきブビビのコンサート」16年「森のオト」が厚生労働省社会保障審議会特別推薦文化財作品に選ばれる。2024年ロバの音楽座のオリジナル曲「ハッピーソング」が小学校3年の教科書（教育芸術社）に掲載される。
