  Born in 1967. When he was in junior high school, he met Yellow Magic Orchestra (YMO) and a bolt of lightning struck his brain. In the midst of all this, I formed a YMO copy band, Electrician, with two friends. I was in charge of drums and bought a used drum set from a friend for 50,000 yen. I think now that the neighborhood must have been annoyed by the noise, but there was not a single complaint. I am grateful for that. I had not been active in music for many years, but the turning point came when I was 26 years old. I was on my honeymoon in Germany, traveling on a sightseeing bus along the Romantic Road. Classical music was playing inside the bus, and I looked out the window at the scenic beauty of the city. Then I had an epiphany. It was this environment that gave birth to classical music and, more importantly, to the instruments that make up the music. Music and instruments are created by the environment. When I thought of this, for some reason, the desire to create music came to me. It was the moment when my mental environment changed. Instrumental music has no lyrics, so it depends greatly on the listener's feeling, but I believe that 100 people can have 100 different feelings depending on their life experiences and sensibilities. I may not be using the latest sound or groove, but I will continue to write songs by valuing what comes out of me.
