Hikari Ichihara is a female trumpeter who is popular for her expressive tones. "Anthem" is her 10th memorable leader album. In this work, she returned to her starting point as a trumpeter and bandleader, leading a trusted regular band and recording only the original compositions. The thick, glossy, and lifelike sound fills the space beautifully.

Hikari Ichihara
Hikari Ichihara/Jazz trumpeter, Singer HIKARI was born in 1982 in Tokyo, Japan. She graduated from SEIKEI GAKUEN with a unified primary through its lower and upper secondary school program. As a member of the brass band club in the lower secondary school she started learning trumpet. Hikari has studied the foundation of jazz trumpet under Professor Tomonao Hara at the SENZOKU GAKUEN COLLEGE OF MUSIC.Upon joining the Pony Canyon recording label in 2005 Hikari has released 9 albums as a leader.Her latest album "Anthem" released in 2021 under the Days of Delight record label. Besides an already prolific career as a leader, Hikari has appeared in numerous supporting roles on television and other major artist tours and recordings. She also is a current faculty member as a professor at the SENZOKU GAKUEN COLLEGE OF MUSIC.
