"Corrugated Nylon"
A track written, performed, and recorded entirely by multi-instrumentalist and sound creator Gaku Kano, featuring drums, synthesizers, vocoder, bass, and more, all played by Gaku himself. On the drums, the track takes trap beats originally rooted in programmed rhythms and brings them to life through human performance.

One of the tracks charms lies in the contrast between the heavy, weighty drum beat created by slowing down the tape speed during recording and the rhythmic and pop-sounding melody floating over thick layers of synthesizers.

This is a pre-release single from Gaku Kanos album Experimental Jazz II, a project that explores and incorporates a wide range of genres. Including Neo-Soul, Hip-Hop, and Indie Rock etc. while keeping Jazz as its foundation.
