Eric Hoffer, in "The True Believer", describes the types of "undesirable people" who drive the engine of history. Among these "undesirable people," the one Hoffer does not address in his book is the "liar." This song takes "the liar" as its theme. It portrays someone who, like a tragic heroine, sheds tears while telling lies, only to flee in panic the moment those lies are exposed.
