Japanese singer-songwriter Ai Takeda presents *Heart*, an intimate and cinematic collection of songs that marks a new chapter in her artistic journey.

Blending ambient textures, heartfelt storytelling, and subtle jazz influences, *Heart* showcases Takeda not only as a vocalist, but also as a songwriter, composer, and arranger. With the exception of one cover song, every track was written, composed, and arranged by Takeda herself.

From the gentle optimism of "Suteki na Hito" and the nostalgic reflections of "Michi" to the a cappella beauty of "Snow", the dreamlike atmosphere of "Kakumei", and the soothing closing track "good night", each song reveals a different facet of her creative world.

Across eight tracks, including an interlude, *Heart* unfolds like a short film-exploring love, memory, solitude, and human connection with honesty and grace.

More than a collection of songs, *Heart* is a reflection of Ai Takeda's artistic voice and a meaningful step forward in her evolution as a creator and performer.

Artist Profile

  • Ai Takeda

Singer-songwriter. Influenced by her mother, who was a music teacher, she began playing the piano at an early age and soon started writing her own songs. After graduating from Rikkyo University with a degree in English Literature, she made her professional debut as a jazz singer. She went on to perform at the Monterey Jazz Festival in Noto and has since appeared regularly at jazz clubs and festivals throughout the Kanto region. In 2019, she released BLOOMIN, a collection of jazz ballads. This was followed in 2023 by Golden Time, an EP consisting entirely of original compositions, through which she developed her distinctive style of sophisticated, melancholic ballads rooted in jazz. With her delicate yet deeply expressive voice, she continues to expand her musical palette by exploring elements of rap and ambient music, drawing attention for her uniquely atmospheric and introspective sound. In 2026, she completed her new album Heart, for which she wrote the lyrics, composed the music, and created the arrangements herself. An accompanying art book was also produced alongside the album. Since December 2023, she has also hosted her own podcast, Kodoku to Ai (Solitude and Love), on stand.fm.
