Shade
Empi
1st single, "Shade."
This debut release from Empi is a song where emotion resides in the spaces between the notes.
With a delicate, beautiful high-pitched voice and quietly woven piano at its core, this song creates a dramatic atmosphere as the sounds gradually overlap. The poignant melody and ephemeral yet elegant lyrics expand its world even further. The gentle changes in tempo create a sense of narrative, drawing the listener deeply into the song.
This is a song that makes you want to immerse yourself in a world created more by subtraction than addition.
