The Star That Faded into Dawn

A song featured in the kamikaze pilot musical Over The Silver Lining. It tells the story of a young man remembering his closest friend, who flew away on a kamikaze mission and never returned. Even after the war has ended and the world has changed, the memories of their laughter and time together remain alive in his heart. Looking up at a beautiful blue summer sky, he wonders what his friend might have felt if he had lived to see it. Like a star fading into the light of dawn, his friend can no longer be seen, yet his presence never truly disappears. A tender and bittersweet song about friendship, loss, remembrance, and carrying the memory of someone you love into the future.
