Guitarist, composer, and soundscape artist Hiroshi Nasu's ambient/noise work is focused on acoustic and live instrument performances. This track, "Dāna," is the first single from his third album, "ashta-A View From 8th Floor-."

Usually, loopers are used in performances that are performed on a regular cycle of 4/8/16 bars and an accurate tempo, but in this work and Hiroshi Nasu's style, a long cycle of about 1 minute is created with free tempo, and the repeated soundscape is gradually layered with color.
Completely improvised, recorded in one take. Only real-time loop overdubbing.

A soundscape created by actively incorporating various "sounds," including not only guitars, but also homemade instruments and the sound of water in a bottle.
While searching for an interpretation and answer to his long-standing themes of "the relationship between compositional quality and improvisation," "acoustic & electric (effective)," and "the relationship between the physical and the instrument," he has created a sound source work that is perfect for relaxation, meditation, and sleep induction.

"Dāna" means "to give."
