From 2004 onward, THETZCHINOCO FIGHTERS active mainly at Kichijoji Crescendo were a band that pushed forward with two contrasting styles. In the classic lineup, the original bassist Miya (Miyapenia) created pop-infused chord progressions, while vocalist Sora added sharp, punk-style lyrics on top. In contrast, the band also embraced an unconventional punk style driven by the genius guitarist Yashiro Rikiya, who handled both songwriting and lyrics.
One of the songs in this latter style, [Shoplifting G-Men Go-Go,] originally had only a first verse. However, when Miya later began performing it as a solo acoustic piece, he wrote a second verse and had Yashiro Rikiya review the lyrics. That process leads to the version that exists today.
