MOZK with 3cm's 1st full album, declaring 'I've decided to sing only what's in my heart!' A voice that radiates presence, conveying lyrics with clarity while maintaining a sense of transparency. A kaleidoscopic storm of grooves spanning funk, reggae, soulful ballads, Latin-inspired tracks, and folk. Highlights include Hirotaka Ito's exquisite horn arrangements, the roaring solos of young jazz trumpeter YNO, and trombonist Yukiko Matsuda whose playing evokes R. Rodriguez. In this 21st century dominated by programmed beats, this CD, stubbornly analog, hints at a quiet boom! Including new material written during the pandemic, it's a stimulating masterpiece filled with laughter and tears. MOZK's wholehearted, soulful album!
From childhood, she discovered a passion for choral music and enrolled in the vocal department of a music college. However, captivated by Bob Marley's music and philosophy, she began performing and subsequently dropped out of college. After a period of performing as a singer-songwriter with piano accompaniment, he formed the band Issun Ichimi in 2020 and released the CD album KNOCK. Rooted in black music genres like reggae and jazz, she delivers powerful vocals over lyrics rich in message and humor. In recent years, he has deepened his knowledge of African music, mastering the djembe and dundun drums, and also engaging in African dance. The band Issun Ichimi is an ensemble centered around composer Issun Tanimorri (Société Contre L'État). They continue their activities to resist all forms of racial discrimination.
