moonlight (After illness)

I had been suffering from depression and had been away from society for two and a half years. The world was in the midst of the COVID-19 pandemic, and it might have been just the right time to be alone. I followed the doctor's orders and made it a daily routine to go outside at least once a day. Every day I walked the path of philosophy, passed through Nanzen-ji Temple, and watched the waterfowl fluttering on the surface of the canal. My fingertips were always cold and numb, but after about 20 minutes of walking, I felt a little blood circulation, so I walked 8 kilometers every day. Music was of no use to me since I couldn't listen to it. One summer day, I got caught in a sudden shower and was completely drenched. While rushing under a cherry tree for shelter, I had an epiphany that 'there's a reason for the rain.' That's the background to this song. It's a story from 2020.
