  VEGA-T | Biography Inspired by West Coast Hip-Hop and Lowrider culture, VEGA-T moved alone to Los Angeles, California in 1996 to pursue his passion for music. As a Reggae selector (DJ), he joined one of Californias largest sound crews, performing more than six nights a week. During his years in the United States, he was featured on a major television program and became an active figure in the Los Angeles reggae scene. He performed at renowned clubs and major festivals throughout Los Angeles, Hollywood and Las Vegas, earning recognition for his energetic performances and authentic style. In 2005, VEGA-T returned to Japan and began building his career as a recording artist. Blending the influences of West Coast Hip-Hop and Reggae, he created his own original style, LAGGA (LA + Ragga), a sound that continues to define his music today. In 2006, VEGA-T gained nationwide attention through the classic track Tsure no Uta feat. VEGA-T by HYENA, released during HYENAs major label era with Victor Entertainment. The song became one of the most successful independent street anthems in Japan, achieving more than 800,000 cumulative sales. He later released his solo album LAGGA Made in Cali, which further established his reputation as an artist with a unique musical identity. Throughout his career, VEGA-T has collaborated with numerous respected artists across both the Hip-Hop and Reggae scenes, earning recognition for his versatility and distinctive voice. With first-hand experience in both Japan and the United States, VEGA-T continues to bridge West Coast Hip-Hop and Reggae culture through a style that is entirely his own. His originality, international background and long-standing presence have made him one of the few artists to authentically connect these two worlds.
