"1973 Magma_1974" is a live recording made using open reel tape at the Ibaraki University auditorium 52 years ago, when the song was composed. "1973 Magma" is a song that Kou-Neo wrote in 1973 when Kou-Neo was a student. It was the fourth original song I performed in front of an audience, and I formed a band with my juniors before graduating and performed it with a 16-beat arrangement. Back then, I didn't play acoustic guitar, but would dance when there was no singing. At the age of 60, I decided to start a second life as a musician, a career I had only had a short time in while working for a company, and in 2013 I resumed my activities for the first time in 36 years under the stage name "Kou (Kou-chan)-Neo (New)." A rock singer-songwriter from Hitachiota, Ibaraki Prefecture, currently living in Hamamatsu, Shizuoka Prefecture, Japan. I takes advantage of the freedom of programming and high-pitched vocals.
Kou-Neo developed a high-pitched voice(reverse voice change) after becoming a company employee, so for this reissue, which has been released for the first time in 40 years, I sings it with an 8 capo higher than when it was originally composed. The older songs also include the year of composition at the beginning. Is "1973 Magma" proof that the song was composed in 1973!
