I recently found out about the "Rework with Shoujo A" project-which uses the official stems for Shiina Mota's "Shoujo A"-and gave the track my very first listen. While it's definitely a rock tune, I immediately noticed that the chord progression has a strong City Pop vibe. I figured tweaking the tempo a bit would make it groove perfectly. Once I started working on it, the track came together surprisingly well, so I decided to release it!
For this track, I blended "Shoujo A" with the signature sound of that iconic City Pop masterpiece. If you're a City Pop fan, I bet you'll instantly recognize exactly which song-and which specific version-I'm paying homage to. I hope you enjoy it!
Artist Profile
Ochizoh
I am a working uncle. I have been writing songs as a hobby since I was a college student, and started using DAW after COVID-19 days.. With the help of many people, I managed to get it into shape and started to distribute it. Since I am old, it is difficult for me to sing straight about love and romance, so I hope to write songs about something that makes people happy to be alive. Most of my songs have a CityPop feel to them. I try to stick to the band sound.
