The Night the Shisa Awakens

Under the full moon of Okinawa, the guardian shisa resting on the red-tiled rooftops awakens for one magical night.

"The Night the Shisa Awakens" is a tropical Halloween dance-pop release by Shisa-Mermaids, blending traditional Okinawan sounds with contemporary electronic grooves.

Lively sanshin melodies, bouncing UK garage 2-step rhythms, funky basslines, shimmering synthesizers, and mysterious organ textures create a vibrant island soundscape.

As the ocean breeze carries enchanting melodies through lantern-lit streets, guardian spirits and mythical creatures come together for a celebration beneath the moonlight.

Playful, mysterious, and slightly romantic, this song invites listeners into an unforgettable Okinawan Halloween night.
