The Kabukicho Gut-Health Chronicles Main Story, Episode 44
"Dreams in a Petri Dish"

Song Description:
"Dreams in a Petri Dish"

Deep underground in the Teio University School of Medicine, a place swirling with conspiracies and power struggles. This fantastical and mad science-pop track depicts Rei Mikado preparing bacterial cultures in the silence of the "Nukumizu Lab."

Erasing the noise of the world with a 121°C autoclave (high-pressure steam sterilizer), an amber-colored sterile stage (culture medium) is created. Using an inoculating loop, the seeds of life are gently sown, and with a special prebiotic, only specific bacteria are made to bloom beautifully. The track unfolds with lyrics that are highly academic, yet carry a madness that almost feels maternal.

A lullaby dedicated to the highly individualistic micro-residents, such as anaerobic bacteria that despise oxygen, and symbionts that cannot survive without the metabolites of other bacteria. It is the song of a lonely genius researcher's secret passion, illustrating the truth dreamed of by Mechnikov, the father of immunology, right inside a petri dish.
