This is the debut album under the name, ADEEL & REBEL WITH A CAUSE, the "last New Wave band of the Far East."

Formed in 2024, ADEEL & REBEL WITH A CAUSE is both a New Wave band and a creative collective. It originated from the Latin American Studies Association at Waseda University and is led by Adeel, a Shinjuku-based singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist.

By internalizing the sounds of 1980s Soviet and Japanese New Wave, post-punk, and Future Funk, their music embodies a cold, retro-futuristic resonance, the decadent aesthetic unique to Asia, and sharp social and political critique.

From his teenage years, leader Adeel has been self-taught in DIY multitrack recording and video production. His exceptional sense of melody and groove earned him international acclaim early on, receiving direct praise from artists such as Haru Nemuri and Strange Reitaro domestically, as well as Marlon Magnée of the French band La Femme and funk legend Bootsy Collins internationally.

Their live performances feature a fusion of Adeel and his charismatic singing and dancing with a rock-solid band ensemble. Their greatest strength lies in their glamorous and inflammatory staging, governed by a rigorous aesthetic sensibility. In 2026, alongside the album release, they are planning a domestic tour covering the Kanto, Tokai, and Kansai regions, as well as a tour in South Korea, marking the full-scale global expansion of the "last New Wave band of the Far East."

Adeel and Rebel With A Cause is a Far East creative collective and New Wave band formed in 2024. Based near Shinjuku, the group was founded by singer-songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Adeel alongside fellow members of Waseda University Latin American Music Study Group. The band leader Adeel began producing music and videos through a home-based multi-tracking style during his third year of middle school. His groovy and melodic sound has garnered international attention across the internet and radio, even catching the eye of funk legend Bootsy Collins. Their signature appeal lies in a Retro-Futuristic sound heavily influenced by New Wave, Future Funk and Post-Punk, blended with a potent aesthetic rooted in Asian heritage. On stage, they deliver a glamorous performance characterized by Adeel vocals and dance performance, backed by the band tight and high-energy instrumentation. Following the release of their debut album Made In Mars in November 2024, the group is currently in the studio working on their second and third albums as a full band. Self-proclaimed as The Far East Last New Wave Band, they are set to embark on a Kanto regional tour and a Tomeihan Tokyo-Nagoya-Osaka tour throughout 2026.
