Romantique Ojisan is a five-piece band formed in 2025, made up of Romantic Ojisan (vocals) and Callin (keyboard), who work in the media industry, Yoshi (Yoshiyuki Sasaki, bassist and co-founder of creative agency monopo), Weekday Boss (Shun Okada, guitarist and co-founder of monopo), and Takeisme (rapper/art director and founder of creative studio hicard).
The band turns everyday moments of romance into music.
Their style, which they call "Montage Pop," blends soul, blues, hip-hop, rock, J-pop, and traditional Japanese folk songs-layered like a collage and shaped into catchy pop.
Their second single, "Mawaru," shows this unique approach.
It shifts from sharp and edgy sounds to soft and gentle ones, bringing a calm breeze to life's busy moments.
