Sunshine on You

Jazz saxophone player Yurie Yamazaki has released her long-awaited second mini-album, "Sunshine on you," produced with the world's best musicians.

The album is produced by Yohei Nakamura, a guitarist living in the U.S. who has performed for world-class musicians such as Stevie Wonder, Brian McKnight, and Chaka Khan, etc. The album also features Andrew Gouche, the legendary bass player; Chris Coleman, the greatest drummer; Donald Hayes, the saxophonist of the Marcus Miller Band, a renowned figure in the smooth jazz world; and other world-class musicians. It attracted great attention even before its release because of its members.

Most of the songs were created in the wake of the COVID-19 disaster. Amidst the spread of the virus with no clear picture of the actual situation and a flurry of mixed information and anxiety, the songs came out with hope, as if a light was shining down on them.

All of the songs are original compositions created by Yurie Yamazaki herself. Yohei Nakamura was in charge of the arrangements. In addition to the main alto saxophone, soprano, and tenor, were also used in this recording.

The music varies in taste from grand and powerful ballads, like the brilliant sunlight shining down on the majestic land of Los Angeles, to more contemporary pieces with the sounds of effectors.

This is a piece in which every detail has been carefully considered, including the sound of the saxophone recording and the choice of tones.
