Kōya Ogata (ex. THE CHERRY COKE$) has released a new song.
The first part of the "Hearing x Senses" series was "Hearing x Smell (Incense)", but this time, the second part of the series is " Sense of Taste".
This song is a collaboration with Sotto Chakka, a Japanese tea brand located in an unexplored region of Shimane Prefecture.
There is a tea plantation near the spring water "Sukehando" at the top of the mountain, a tributary of the Takatsu River, which has been voted "Seiryu Nihon No.1" many times, and the song was recorded in the field by visiting the spring water and tea plantation.
I was moved by the gentle but refreshing sound of the wind rustling the leaves from the majestic landscape, the whispering of birds, and the sound of a stream flowing into a tea plantation, and sublimated the music as a supreme soundscape/drone ambient that does not disturb the space.
The song is titled "34° 27' 48.948" N 131° 50' 50.13" E.
The origin comes from the place where the recording was made, i.e. the latitude and longitude of the place of origin of the song.
If you search for a song title on Google, a map/aerial photo will appear, so please try to search.
The cover photo is by photographer Yuri Nanasaki.
He is also the founder of the Japanese tea brand Sotchakka.
This is a tea that has been drunk since ancient times without using any pesticides, fertilizers or herbicides.
A limited number of cassettes with Japanese tea (sotto chacqua) will be available for purchase, so if you get a chance to get your hands on one, why not listen to the songs while you're tripping along to the calm and comfortable atmosphere?
