ALMA Releases Long-Awaited 1st EP "NOTHING SPECIAL"

Tokyo-based rapper ALMA has digitally released his debut EP, "NOTHING SPECIAL".
All four tracks were produced by HUGH THE KID, a producer who has supported numerous artists including TOKYO SEKAI. Fujita, who made a strong impression at the Rap Star 2024 SELECTION CYPHER, appears as a featured artist.

Mixing and mastering were handled by Daichi Ishiyama, a familiar collaborator on ALMA's projects, and producer ascii, known for his work with Bonbero and Tade Dust. The artwork was created by up-and-coming creator Leo Ichikawa.

This conceptual EP centers on ALMA's personal journey of breaking free from the complex of feeling "ordinary".
It sharply chronicles the daily struggles of working life and the raw emotions of trying to escape them.
Comprising four tracks, it delivers authentic, relatable messages only ALMA - who left corporate life to forge a new path as an artist and event organizer - could convey.

Only a select few talented individuals can make a living doing what they truly want.
For most of us, it's filled with things we don't want to do, things that don't go well - we stumble, recover, fall again... and somehow drift through life until we die, ordinary.
This EP explores the conflict within myself between that sense of "ordinariness" and the resolve to derail from it and live differently.
I especially hope it reaches as many people as possible, particularly those my age, struggling at life's crossroads.
