Water runs like a wild confession
Through the streets of a quiet town
Underneath, there’s a strange obsession
Searching peace where truth is drowned
In all reason, I should let you go
But the river won’t stop its flow
Congratulations — we made it through the fire
But ashes fall with every choir
Held our breath till the morning bled
Now we smile where the silence led
Stone by stone, I built my defence
But your name cracks every fence
Cicadas hum in a heated trance
Yet your ghost still wants to dance
In all reason, I should break away
But your echo tells me to stay
Congratulations — we survived the rain
But memories still stain the pane
Every bridge we burned, every thread we tied
Still winds back to where we tried
There’s no medal for endurance
No prize for staying sane
Only rivers that forget —
And flowers growing from pain
Congratulations — we reached the end
But still pretend we can mend
In all reason, we were bound to fall
But even broken, we stood tall

Artist Profile
starclime
There are still landscapes in music that we have yet to see. starclime is a fourteen-member music project. Taking City Pop as one of its starting points, starclime moves freely through rock, jazz, soul, R&B,EDM, classical music, ambient, experimental music, hip-hop, and musical traditions from around the world. Rather than remaining within a single genre, the project absorbs the colour, rhythm, culture and atmosphere of different forms of music, reshaping them into something new. The changing seasons. Journeys towards unfamiliar places. Memories of somewhere to return to. The distance between people. Feelings that lie beyond words. These landscapes and emotions flow throughout the music of starclime. Some things can only be expressed through song. Others only begin to reveal themselves when words disappear. For starclime, vocal works and instrumentals therefore belong equally to the same musical world. Each member brings a different musical background and a different perspective to every work, while some continue to discover and develop their own musical identity. Rather than preserving a single finished form, starclime allows the music itself to grow through change. starclime does not seek simply to add more genres. Its aim is to renew the way music itself can be perceived through the meeting of different musical worlds. Towards music that has yet to be named. Towards landscapes we have yet to discover. starclime will continue to present new ways of seeing and hearing music.
