Fallsheeps 2nd Full Album "Eureka"
Fallsheeps returns with their long-awaited 2nd full-length album, "Eureka", released under the Tokyo-based indie label tomoran, home to artists like sedai and kurayamisaka. This marks their first full album in three years since "Dunk".
Through shifting member lineups, the band has evolved from a four-piece to a three-piece, resulting in a more refined and solid sonic landscape. The 12-track album embraces a minimalistic approach, shedding the layered textures of their previous works in favor of a colder, sharper sound-like chilled steel. While paying homage to the guitar-driven rock of the 2000s, Fallsheeps refuses to be bound by nostalgia, instead pushing forward in pursuit of a new sound for the modern era.
The album features "snowyyy," a track that paints a snowy landscape with danceable beats and intricate chord progressions, "Nigetai," which blends a deadened, minimalistic atmosphere with suffocating tension, "Yosuga," capturing the contrast between yearning freedom and inner turmoil, and "snowyyy-", their first-ever instrumental piece.
"Eureka" is a testament to Fallsheeps' evolution and their relentless drive to explore new sonic territories.
