Allergic to Talent

"You're not talented."

Those words stayed in my head.

No matter how hard I tried, the results never seemed to come.
No matter how many times I challenged myself, someone else was always ahead.

Eventually, I started believing it myself.

"Maybe I'm just not talented."
"Maybe I'm not meant for this."

Every time I looked at social media, someone else seemed to be achieving their dreams.
The more I compared myself to others, the smaller I felt.

"You're not good enough."
"You're not cut out for this."
"You're not talented."

Those words hurt.

But I still couldn't give up.

"Allergic to Talent" is a song about the frustration of being told you have no talent, the pain of watching others move ahead, and the struggle to keep believing in yourself when your efforts don't seem to pay off.

Maybe we don't know yet whether we have talent.

And maybe that's the point.

No one else gets to decide how far we can go.

It's okay to lose.
It's okay to take the long way.
It's okay if the results haven't come yet.

This is a song for everyone who has ever been told,
"You're not talented,"
but chose to keep moving forward anyway.
