In February this year, there was a trial that felt impossible to get through. " (Dasvidaniya) was written as a way to talk himself through it, in his own words.
The title, Russian for "goodbye," marks a decision to let go of both the past self and the future self. Living with bipolar disorder and impaired vision and hearing on his right side, St. George Kulikov raps that his potential is still "no limit" not as a platitude, but as something said to himself at the edge.
"Only I can save myself."
Built around that line, the track accepts pain without surrendering to it.
At 12, I was struck by the sound of HIPHOP playing from my sister's room - that moment changed everything. I began writing lyrics, but in my twenties, I gave up on my dream and walked away from music. The deaths of my mother and sister forced me to confront the meaning of life. Now in my thirties, I've picked up the mic again. Carrying both pain and hope in my words, I live through music once more.
